I'm glad you are waiting.  The repo has not seemed even close to stable
enough to have a release.  Every day or so I spend a few minutes and
there are significant changes.  I think there should be a week with only
changes that are obviously of no consequence on all platforms (docs and
whitespace :-).  Part of the reason is that there are very few people
testing now, and that will give a chance for the less hard core to
participate without feeling that what they are trying is a fast-moving
target.

I tested
  release-3.9-843-gd4a915c
on NetBSD 6 i386, and there was 1 probably-spurious failure.  Repeating
had different failures, but it looks like the timing issue.

On mac 10.7, I got a clean pass.

I did not live test.
