Folks,
I was looking at http://bugs.ntp.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2503, which is
about how a SHM utility program in the NTP distribution doesn't support
nanoseconds, and it seemed to me that if the NTP distribution installed
a SHM header file (I'm assuming it would contain some version
information) so that programs would not have to "roll their own" and
we'd have the ability to compare the version information in the program
with the version information in the header file.
It might also make sense to offer a tear-off with the SHM interface.
I'm not sure that we'd need more than a .h file and some documentation.
Thoughts?
