The script hangs like this:

robin ~ # sh do-stress-gpsd
Wed Jan 28 14:28:30 PST 2015
17297 pts/2 S+ 0:00 grep gpspipe
Wed Jan 28 14:28:34 PST 2015
17369 pts/2 S+ 0:00 grep gpspipe
Wed Jan 28 14:28:38 PST 2015
[...]
32565 pts/2 S+ 0:00 grep gpspipe
Wed Jan 28 14:39:40 PST 2015
  428 pts/2 S+ 0:00 grep gpspipe
Wed Jan 28 14:39:45 PST 2015
  989 pts/2 S+ 0:00 grep gpspipe
Wed Jan 28 14:39:50 PST 2015

cgps then times out:

robin ~ # cgps
cgps: GPS timeout

Restarted cpgs just times out, never reports anything.

gpsd is impervious to plain killall, it needs -9 to die:

robin ~ # killall gpsd
robin ~ # killall gpsd
robin ~ # killall gpsd
robin ~ # killall -9 gpsd
robin ~ # killall -9 gpsd
gpsd: no process found

I am on a dual core AMD host running Gentoo unstable.
