Regarding this line:

Request Expand Filesystem by keying Return with the select bar on that entry. This will make all the space on the SD above the end of your copied OS image available on next reboot.

The current Raspbian Lite image (2016-05-10) automatically expands the file system to fill the SD card on the first boot.  I think there was also an automatic reboot after this, too.
