I just uploaded an attempted fix for this.

gpsd was applied speed and parity changes to /dev/pts/*.  On my boxes
that succeeds, but does nothing, on yours it fails.  Since there
is no point changing speed on a /dev/pts my patch tries to not do that.

Please give it a test.
