[gpsd-dev] (forw) gpmon: "Ill-formed PPS packet: 7"

Question for the list: did this ever get fixed? It's pretty clear the
bug is in drivers.c, not long after line 1596. My work on NTPsec doesn't
leave my time to chase it, but it ought to be an easy repair for
someone.

I'm looking at a NMEA device on another system.

The top line shows:
  tcp://fed:gpsd#/dev/gps0:/dev/NMEA0183> Ill-formed PPS packet: 7 (string
value t
I assume the rest of the output is off to the right someplace.

If I make the window wider, it says: "(string value too long)"
but doesn't tell me anything about the string or even which string.

I get one about 10 seconds after startup. It works OK after that.
It's followed by a similar one for TOFF.

grep PPS in the log file shows:

I guess it's adding a "#/dev/gps0" until it overflows.

There is no TOFF stuff in the log file.
