Regarding the patch(es) to enable a Windows version of libgps,
My method for building this is on openSUSE Tumbleweed Virtual Machines (32 + 64
bit versions).
The way I've managed to do this is with extra commits at:
https://github.com/rnorris/gpsd/commits/WindowsDLL
All the system dependencies is then described by the mingw32-libgps.spec (and
mingw64-libgps.spec) files.
Which are available in openSUSE Build Service repositories.
Sadly some hacks in the SConstruct file seem to be required to force cross
compiling in scons.
I have not been successful any other way.
Testing then can run under Wine.
Separately I also have access to some Windows VMs and real Windows machines for
further testing.
Possibly the example mingw.spec files are useful to include into GPSD
repository,
however the real building of the DLL is more for reference purposes rather than
including in the master.
