Hi Gary,

I start gpsd with "sudo gpsd /dev/ttyUSB0", without the -n option. Does this option matter a lot?
And note that, sometimes the gpsd starts running automatically when I plug in the GPS receiver.

You neglected to say how you start gpsd.  Are you using the -n option?
