Yo All! The time has come to change FIXED_PORT_SPEED and FIXED_STOP_BITS from build options and make them runtime options. Build options for common configurations are not useable by those that use gpsd binaries built by someone else. Some GNSS receivers, like the RES SMT 360 behave strangly unless you talk to them with odd settings, like 8O1, that are hard to auto configure. Is there an obvious option to use for these? How about adding options: -t [speed] -T [char] Where [speed] is the port speed, and [char] is bits/parity/stop (default 8N1). Gary, not sure how '-t' and '-T' relate to port baudrate and framing? I cannot remember which opts gpsd already has, but: -b | --baudrate <300|600|1200|2400|9600|19200|38400|57600|115200>or or: -s | --speed <300|600|1200|2400|9600|19200|38400|57600|115200> and: -f | --framing <7E1|7O1|8N1|8N2...> would by my natural 'goto's While you have the hood up any chance we can add a switch: -a | --ant-fault <1|0> to set a global for enabling antenna fault monitoring? We'll contribute some code for Ublox 7/8/9 receivers just as soon as we have it debugged. You might also consider a: -j | --jamming <1|0> boolean to turn on/off the jamming and spoof detection features that several GNSS receivers now support, too? Mike Ideas?
