Oh sorry, I meant contributors again. In my (probably imaginary) world
the set of people who build free software from sources and the set of
people who contribute to free software projects have very large
intersection, so I tend to use those two different words
interchangeably.

OK, that's just my understanding of the implications of what you said,
I didn't literally mean you had said that. Sorry for the confusion.

Correct, "two cents" messages rarely have patches attached. The
discussion without patches is often useless, that I can agree
with. Though sometimes it's not.
