you'll have to change it in debian/control.in.
Reverting bbf652ee9f721b522164daf301a78db34f6139ed
and
62aa4951e688c7f9e687d541ccba2e20d6177329 might be a start.
Why are you developing on such an old system?
It will be EOL in less than a year. Python2 is also deprecated and won't
exist on a current system or in the upcoming releases.
