Reconnects may still block on DNS lookups for the reconnect. The
logging may be confusing, retry timers may need adjusting, etc. I
expect other glitches to exist, so please test!
Definitely will do - tcp is what we need...
The gpspipe man page now shows how to setup your own tcp://NMEA feed:
$ socat EXEC:'gpspipe -r' TCP-LISTEN:2948,reuseaddr,fork
Will let you know how we get on
