Yo All!
I repeated my experiment with the RTCM3 "MAX", only this time for 12
hours, and using the High Precision lat/lon from the ZED-F9P.
See attached.
Surprise, the very good results I previsouly had with a 1 hour capture
could not be repeated over 12 hours. The short term jitter is very
small, but the CEP(50) is 0.607 m, and the CEP(99) is at 1.829 m.
So the better RTCM3 does reduce short term noise and short term wander,
but does nothing for long term (1 hr) wander, and thus no improvement in
the CEP(99) error bounds. If I am navigating, it is the CEP(99) that
matters. It is no good if my care stays in the proper lane only 50% of
the time.
I'd like to see some 12 hour plots from some people that claim they
get better results than I do with RTCM3.
