Now that I think about it, one of the reasons I don't use rate-of-turn is because opencpn showed such bizarre turn values that I assumed the source data was bad and not worth using. Anyway, they apparently don't realize that gpsd is feeding them bad values.

I just don't happen to pay any attention to rate of turn.
Its broken now.  Fingers crossed that I get it right.
