   Since it's more than just a packaging change, it really should have
   a new version number rather than just a letter suffix; if 1.12 is
   reserved for the next release, then this could be called 1.11.1.

OK, I've tagged all files with 1.11.1 and changed the version
accordingly -- please download tomorrow (i.e. in about 12 hours) the
archive, unpack it, run `configure' and `make dist'.  Unfortunately, I
currently can't do this by myself since I've problems with logging in
on the CVS host.
