[Groff] undocumented troff feature

Try this:

  .tr aa \&
  foo bar baz

It will suppress spaces.

Note that

  .tr aa x

is ignored -- spaces aren't translated to `x'es.

GNU troff apparently mimicks Unix troff behaviour -- I've now
documented this in groff.texinfo.
