[Groff] '--' at top of postscript page

Hi,

Does somebody know how to remove the little '--' (dashes) from 
the top of the postscipt output when formatting a mm macro document
with groff.

When my text starts with

.PH
<other text>

so I don't have standard page numbering, I always get the '--'
both at the top left and right side of the postscript page.

I use this command to process the text:

groff -Tps -mm text.mm > text.ps
