Hi Folks,
The following was just posted to address@hidden
I don't recall seeing this problem come up on the groff list,
and I don't get it myself with groff 1.16.1. Does anyone know
anything about it?
Ted.

Howdy,
Few words current state of groff
o the groff*-1.16.1-7 with Red Hat 7.1 is broken
with at least any language requiring two
adjacent letters of a-umlaut and o-umlaut.
Words like "kääntyä" ("to turn" or "to compile" in
finnish) generate errors and drop letters from
output. Didn't find a way around it with using
macros or string replacement .ds
o the current GNU release 1.17.2 does not suffer
from the problem.
[the rest snipped]
