My question is: When using Refer in endnotes mode ($LIST$), Is there any way to supress
the "references" string ?
The Background
---------------
I have an assignment that requires both endnotes and
an annotated (2-4 sentences) bibliography. I am using Refer with a local database of
LocalInd (in my home directory).
Of course the endnotes work as specified:
.NH
Footnotes
.[
$LIST$
.]
Creating an annotated bibliography from the same Ind file is a simple enough task--
1) Use the %X and %Y fields for the annotation text in my LocalInd bibliographic database. (%X for the first
line and %Y for each additional line.
2) Use a sed script that strips out the %X and %Y lines and moves them to a separate paragraph. This script creates a temporary Ind file "TempLocalInd."
3) Run TempInd through Refer to create the file TempLocalInd.rof
So the Annotated Bibliography section looks something like:
.NH
Annotated Bibliography
.PP
.so TempLocalInd.rof
This works perfectly except that Refer always includes the string "References" in its output. My output text
looks like:
5. Annotated Bibliography
References
blah...blah...blah....
Is there any way to supress the "References" string ?
