[Groff] Line Spacing of Text in pic Objects.

Hi,

Given

    .PS
    circle "abc" "def"
    circle "\s[4]abc" "def\s0"
    .PE

The text in the second circle is much smaller but is vertically spaced
similarly to the first.  This isn't helpful if I'm trying to cram more
text into the circle.

I've had a quick play, but I'm in a hurry and can't spot anything
obvious.  Can someone point out how to push the lines together.
