groff.texinfo in the latest CVS snapshot  breaks the make:

Add .output request, similar to \! at top-level.

* src/roff/troff/input.cc (transparent): Remove unused declaration.
(output_request): New function.
(init_input_requests): Add it.
Sorted.
* NEWS, doc/groff.texinfo, man/groff_diff.man, man/groff.man:
Document it.

* Makefile.in (MDEFINES): Add INSTALL_INFO.
* doc/groff.texinfo (@direntry): Fix it.
