On my Linux system, the files /etc/mime.types has:
application/x-troff t tr roff
application/x-troff-man man
application/x-troff-me me
application/x-troff-ms ms
This confirms what is "officially" considered an extension for a roff file.
But `mm' and `mom' are lacking. Does it make sense to define a new
extension for every macro package? With a future `.require' in mind, a
common `t' would be good enough for all kinds of roff documents.
Both `mm' and `mom' and myself for the Gutenberg macro package `gb' must
decide on this.
