A warning sounds good to me. Also adding some documentation about it in some
REQUIREMENTS file or something (or INSTALL file) will be helpful. I really
didn't want to contact the list regarding this problem so I grepped the
entire distribtuion for texinfo and makeinfo but found no documentation about
the version needed).
