Hi everyone,
there appears to be a problem with my 1.18.1 version of mm equation label
aligning.
I write this in.
.DS L
.EQ "(1)"
a + b = c
.EN
.DE
and something like this happens:
paragraph line 1,
continoues into 2,
both are aligned.
a+b=c (1)
i.e. the starting "edge" of the label lies at the ending edge of the
paragraph.
Help? Bug?
(Another question: Why not add a -ms compatibility layer to -mm, for
example, .MSEQ L instead of the lengthy -mm prologue?) This way we would all
get our TOCs going without awk and standard error support.
BTW: Why not add namespaces to groff, so macros from different packages
would not collide?
BTW2: Why not add line styles for the various paragraphs in -mm or -ms (i.e.
a line on top or bottom of a paragraph). Similar to AbiWord. I know this is
easy to do with \l'' but... ... ... ... You know what I mean.
groff is growing old too, it should be packed with features like these by
now. Or rather, my experience with other programs is, that ppl who stick to
old versions of a program (not necessarily groff) for some reason, try to
mimick features from advanced version in their older programs using existing
(older) functionality.
