Thanks for your input. Together with the information from Werner and
yours, I will try rebuilding the document with ms - and trying to fiddle
around with .DS and mm. Maybe there's more than one way towards the
solution.

I'd like to stick with mm, if at all possible, as it's only a part of the
whole document and many more things depend on mm specific things.
