Also (sorry for the long post), is anyone out there interested in
writing vim syntax highlighting rules for mom? I use the elvis

presently, to explore how to write syntax highlighting for it.

I don't use MOM, but the vim syntax highlighting rules for t/groff, of which I am the official maintainer nowadays, are general enough to cover most cases of groff syntax; I encourage you to examine vim with the syntax file I posted earlier today and give me your complains[1]; no one but the father knows best the aberrations of his children, know what I mean?

Instead, I invite each and every vim user to write syntax highlighting files for the preprocessor languages, namely tbl, eqn, pic, grap, grn, etc. that I can later integrate into the t/groff syntax file. I am even willing to take over maintenance, but only after the fact ;-)

[1] Install vim, vim 6.2e preferably, in your home directory crate a directory called ".vim/syntax" anc copy the nroff.vim file. Create a .vimrc file that contains the following:

"""
set nocp
source $VIMRUNTIME/vimrc_example.vim
"""

This will enable all the fancy features.
