We don't have a FAQ, as far as I know.  A good site for solutions
related to troff is www.troff.org.  BTW, your question is far too
generic to get a good answer.  Currently, we are still working on
improved support for Win98 (for groff binaries compiled with MSVC) so
it makes indeed sense to subscribe to the list.  Usually, you get
answers within a day or so (but note that there are serious delivery
delays sometimes due to worm attacks).
