Well, the platform is NetBSD 1.6 (GENERIC), the default shell is
apparently /bin/ksh on Nelson's setup.  Thomas, do you have time to
build

and report whether you have failures?  [But please don't install it --
you might also test the current CVS which would be even better.]  In
case the pdfroff script fails, please run

  touch  foo  bar
  sh  -vx  pdfroff  --style=foo  bar  >  /dev/null  2> pdfroff.log

so that we get more meaningful diagnostic messages.
