[Groff] On groffer and groffer.1 |

Sorry for not answering earlier. I'm actually very short in time.
Some days ago, there was a long discussion on reading man pages in a
web browser. That actually exists, just use
`groffer --html <man-name>`
That will find all man pages similar to man(1) , transform the found
source file into html and display it in a web browser.
###
There also were several mails about `groffer.1'. `groffer' is part of
`groff'. So it is free software under the copyright of the FSF. Its
source is not mine, but can be changed by everyone.
My experience is that Werner has some kind of wisdom. So I would trust
him to modify the man page in a reasonable way. I hope that the long
`groff' names are kept.
But not changing `groffer.1' could be more interesting, a kind of sport
to make `doclifter' perfect. So far, several former problems of `doclifter'
could be fixed and removed from the secure list. Perhaps the remaining
troubles could be fixed as well by the time. Laziness should not prevent
this.
Good luck
Bernd Warken
