I should have pointed out -- just in case -- that if you are using
preprocessors like tbl, pic or eqn, you should be careful about
defining your own objects with names which begin with digits.
For instance, eqn defines several registers whose names begin with "0",
and a string register called "10".
tbl uses names beginning with "3", and pic defines registers
whose names begin with "0".
