No, sorry. The very problem IMHO is that you can't `contrib' fonts
easily, because currently there must be a single `download' file.
The most important infrastructure project is integration of the
kpathsea library into groff so that all these things become much
easier to configure -- especially, there could be multiple `download'
files. Another top-priority project after kpathsea support is
conversion of PFB to PFA on the fly while grops outputs them; then a
single kpathsea tree could be shared with TeXLive; it would be trivial
and straightforward to add proper groff metrics files for all
contained Type 1 fonts (there are more than 4000 right now, BTW).
Volunteers highly welcomed.

Of course! The quality of those fonts is excellent; they are
cleaned-up and extended versions of the URW fonts (and part of
TeXLive, of course).
