If you look at /usr/src/contrib, you'll see that the FreeBSD people
don't have an issue with NIH.
The problem is GPLv3.
Also, they're not proposing to get rid of groff altogether. It will
still be in the portstree for those who want or need it.
All they're doing is putting mdocml in base to handle manpages.
