I too have a couple of trivial patches for pdfroff:

1) Avoid spurious messages during PDF output.  I've occasionally noticed
that reference dictionary control messages are not suppressed, as they
should be, in the final output phase, when external references are
processed after the last internal reference has been resolved.

2) Avoid the "phantom" second copy of document text, when the ms TOC
relocation hook isn't specifically deactivated, but it isn't required.

I guess it would be good to get these into the release, but I'll need a
day or two to finalize them.
