Hi Doug,

Agree, the section number already provides a good default information
(and for more details, consult man(1)). The text is mostly useless.
BTW, I just noticed that if you write a mdoc(7) page, the defaults are
worse than uninformative; they are misinformation:
alx@asus5775:/opt/local/unit/share/man$ cat man8/unitd.8
.\" (C) 2017-2021, NGINX, Inc.
.\"
.Dd March 16, 2021
.Dt UNITD 1
.Os "NGINX Unit" 1.26
.Sh NAME
.Nm unitd
.Nd "runs the NGINX Unit daemon"
alx@asus5775:/opt/local/unit/share/man$ man -Pcat ./man8/unitd.8
UNITD(1) BSD General Commands Manual UNITD(1)
NAME
unitd — runs the NGINX Unit daemon
NGINX Unit 1.26 March 16, 2021 NGINX Unit 1.26
Where did that BSD come from?
That seems like a bug to me.
I like the removal of the default.
Cheers,
Alex
