Hi,

The video mode line doesn't seem to be valid, so I guess xserver is
indeed different.

Fedora also have efi loader, which is basically some hacking with grub
legacy. Perhaps you can try that and see if it works.

I've just checked the kernel's size, and nothing is 50MB.

After fiddling, now it says. (for x86 kernel) 3.5MB

    [Linux-bzImage, setup=0x3000, size=0x367f70]
Video mode: address@hidden
Video frame buffer: f0000000

The x86_64 kernel has:

    [Linux-bzImage, setup=0x2c00, size=0x2ff470]
Video mode: address@hidden

Video frame buffer: f0000000
