__stack_chk_fail in regexp is not defined

Now, I'm getting this error while building.  Bug in the awk script?

cat syminfo.lst | sort | gawk -f ./grub.git/grub-core/genmoddep.awk >
moddep.lst || (rm -f moddep.lst; exit 1) __stack_chk_fail in regexp is
not defined
