Thanks, Jeff.  Do you happen to know whether there is a clever way of
updating my existing CVS working tree, so that I can sync up with the
new repository without having to check everything out from scratch
again?

Perhaps it would work just to change all of the Root files from

:ext:address@hidden:/cvs/guile

to

:ext:address@hidden:/cvs/guile

?
