Please ignore gh_allow_int. Do not use it.
Guile used to be able to interrupt code asynchronously, at any time
except between SCM_DEFER_INTS/SCM_ALLOW_INTS. These interruptions do
no longer happen asynchronously, but only at SCM_TICK.
