I’ve entered the polishing and documentation phase of
‘wip-service-refactor’, with the hope of merging it within a few days.

Currently the branch should have no loss of functionality compared to
‘master’.  You’re welcome to give it a try!

Recently I’ve removed the controversial ‘define-record-type†’ unhygienic
macro that I had introduced at a time when I was tired of typing.  ;-)
Overall the patch adds many lines, mostly because services now need to
have all their parameters in a single object.  So we have records like
<static-networking-configuration>, <geoclue-configuration>, and so on.
