I'd also love to help out with this effort and I can also help with bug 
reporting and testing builds. On the mailing list two weeks ago, Hartmut Goebel 
mentioned that he had worked on packaging Plasma for Guix about a year ago, but 
he was unable to get the Plasma desktop to actually start.
