The incomplete file is:
"foo
as mentioned previously. Here's how it fails:
scheme@(guile-user)> (call-with-input-file "a" read)

The difference is that ^R is interpreted as a symbol, whereas "foo
cannot be interpreted as anything at all by 'read'.
