Hi, I am on ubuntu and upgraded from GNUHealth 1.8 to 2.0. The script gnuhealth_install.sh ran successfully. For installing the latest tryton client I ended up not following the wiki instructions (http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/GNU_Health/Installation. ) . I wanted to check if I am doing something wrong or if the wiki is wrong. 1) First I tried to install the latest Tryton client as mentionined in the wiki - I did : pip --user install. It asked me to do an upgrade. The following was the message : Requirement already satisfied (use --upgrade to upgrade): tryton in /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages Requirement already satisfied (use --upgrade to upgrade): python-dateutil in /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages (from tryton) Requirement already satisfied (use --upgrade to upgrade): six in /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages (from python-dateutil->tryton) Cleaning up... Then I did : pip --upgrade Tryton. Is this a correct thing to do. If so, should the wiki page instructions be updated? 2) When I did the upgrade as above, it removed the existing Tryton client in .local/bin and installed the Tryton 2.8 in /usr/local/bin/tryton. Is this the right place in which the tryton client will be installed?. The wiki says it would be installed in ~/.local/bin. Then should we update this wiki documentation too? Thanks Kaushik |
