Hello,
Just to add on how the work flow is going in most of the hospitals within our community.
A patient needs to be registered under a hospital as an individual or through insurance company.
So, at a first visit, a patient will arrive at reception and meet a staff from finance department, the staff will generate an invoice for the registration, and the patient will pay to him. The patient will then proceed to records department with a print copy
of the invoice for the records staff to register him/her into the system.
Then, whatever service/goods a patient may require, s/he has to go back to finance staff to obtain an invoice for that and make a payment (in case of an individual account) or collect a service form (in case of corporate/insurance account) before proceeding
to the service centre (ie lab, Xray, pharmacy, consultation or nursing case), with a print copy of the invoice/service form.
This is why I make the feedback, and I now understand how gnuhealth invoicing works.
