[Help-bash] Bash 3 - multidimensional arrays?

I'm fairly new to bash programming; I do have experience in other
languages (php, python). My issue is that I'm trying to capture data in
bash and input it into a multi-dimensional array. I have seen how to do
this via tutorials for Bash 4 but not Bash 3.

Does anyone know if Bash 3 support multi-dimensional arrays? If so,
could you provide an example?
