[Help-bash] command substitution in msys

just a quick question... well, apparently, even at the latest port of bash in 
msys (version 3.1.23) one still can't do command substitution... so i was 
wondering....

if in the latest bash (4.3), has the patches been upstreamed from the msys 
port, if one were to compile it under msys host, would it support command 
substitution??

well this may be unlikely, but since msys already handles several file 
descriptors being referred to as "/dev/something", won't it be easy to have 
command substitution as well???
