Thanks all. The output is identical between 'help set' and 'bash -c "help
set"'. Why does the man page provide the longer option instead of the
shorter? Is it assuming you might be starting from a different shell and
need to invoke bash to run it? Is the only difference that 'bash -c "help
set"' is being run in a child shell?
