Nevertheless, this behavior is still surprising. It sounds like Bash
is like this because of a limitation in the underlying bision. One
could say it is a "features". But I'd still consider it as a bug
(probably not easy to fix).
Is this the case there is absolutely no way to change behavior to make
it more intuitive?
