This does not seem to be fixed in the latest devel push -- is it planned
in the next one, perhaps?

We'll see. I was traveling the past two weeks, and my weekends are booked
until after re:Invent. I wouldn't object to someone sending a patch, of
course (just including <sys/sysmacros.h is not portable).
