Building bash with bash

Since 'make' was invented it has been uncommon to build programming
projects with shell scripts. However it is perfectly possible (with full
dependencies) and here is an example, building bash itself using bash

I understand that this would be off-topic for this forum, but I request the
post remain as a sign-post for anyone interested. No discussion is required
