I think that's an exaggeration, since you're the one who discovered it and
(so far) the only one who's reported it.

There doesn't seem to be enough urgency, judged by the number of reports of
it being a problem, to release it as a patch.

Even if I released it as a patch to bash-5.1, though, that's no guarantee
that you'd have access to it quickly -- even your vendor has not applied
all the existing bash-5.1 patches.
